About
This mini-conference is designed around the open-space model of interaction. Open Space is an approach that uses the wisdom of a group to find solutions to a question or challenge. There is no main speaker. After posing the guiding question, individuals will be motivated to explore a specific topic or application they feel passionate about. Breakout sessions will arise from these queries & situations people bring forth.
The guiding question for this event will be: “How can we build communities of resilience and courage that care for one another in challenging and even hostile environments?”
Our vision is to bring queer people & allies together to discuss how to build responsive, supportive, and resilient communities. Through respectful and open conversations, we hope to create a brave space through shared dialogue over important topics of mutual concern & experience. We hope people will come away encouraged and better equipped to thrive in their particular environment (whether that be a home, school, work, church, urban or rural context).
